Is Matt Berry in Fallout 4? We Explain
Matt Berry’s cameo in the Fallout TV series is considered one of the highlights of the hit adaptation, but can you hear the actor in the original game, as well? We explain below.
There is a lot to appreciate in the Fallout TV series, as shown by the 93% Rotten Tomatoes rating. Although the show does not adapt any of the games exactly, but spins a new story in the universe, 9 years after the plot of Fallout 4, it’s still packed with references to the originals. One of them is the Mr. Handy Robot, which, in the TV show, is voiced by the comedian Matt Berry to great acclaim from the viewers. However, those hoping to hear the actor in the actual game might be disappointed.
Is Matt Berry in Fallout 4? We Explain
The Fallout TV series, based on the iconic universe, has enjoyed good reception with players and newcomers to the franchise alike. The TV show is praised not only for it’s climate, main characters like Maximus or Cooper Howard, but also cameos, like Matt Berry’s voice role as the Mr. Handy robot. Ahead of Fallout 4 releasing on Xbox Series X and PS5 consoles and a long awaited fan mod coming as well, fans of the TV series are wondering if they could hear Matt Berry’s comedic performance in the game.
However, while the Mr. Handy robots do appear in Fallout 4, they are voiced by a different actor - Stephen Russell, who also plays Nick Valentine, a synth and owner of the Valentine Detective Agency. Matt Berry is not featured in the game at all.
Another chance to hear Berry in the Fallout universe might come if the TV series receives a second season. Nothing has been announced so far, but a continuation of the show does not seem impossible, considering the rave reviews and the heightened interest in the games that the adaptation caused.
