Instagram Direct and Messenger Integration in 2020
Bloomberg reports that in 2020 Facebook will enable chat between Instagram and Messenger users. This will be the first step on the road to integrating the giant's platforms, as announced by Mark Zuckerberg.
Mark Zuckerberg intends to take a big step towards full integration of Facebook platforms. How, you ask? The company plans to enable the exchange of information in the form of chat between Instagram and Messenger. According to information obtained by Bloomberg (and provided by Virtual Media in Polish), the new feature will be available to users in 2020. The future will be even more interesting, as the introduction of new technological solutions in Instagram Direct instant messenger will at some point result in the possibility of using chatbots.
Chatbots, which Messenger has been using for some time, have become a great tool for contacting customers, used by many large companies. Their task is to conduct conversation in the most natural way possible. Unfortunately, unconscious users very often have the impression that they are talking to a "living" person. The appearance of chatbots on Instagram will significantly increase the additional monetization possibilities of the service. And the users will probably won't like it.
It is worth noting that the integration of Instagram Direct and Messenger is only the first stage of a larger transformation. Mark Zuckerberg announced a few months ago that soon we will experience a smooth communication between Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp users. There was also a project of integrating facebook platforms with SMS messages. But is "cross-play" between large communicators really necessary?
