In SnowRunner Season 12, We Will Build Nuclear Power Plant; Public Energy DLC Coming
A new season is heading to SnowRunner, which will launch on the last day of January. In it, players will help build a nuclear power plant in North Carolina.
Saber Interactive studio, in collaboration with the publisher Focus Entertainment, has revealed details about the upcoming developments for the popular truck simulator, SnowRunner.
Today we learned the release date of the game's 12th season, titled "Public Energy." The new season will be released on January 31st and will be available separately, and as a part of the Year 3 Pass and the Year-3 Anniversary Edition.
Those unwilling to pay extra will have settle for 10 new stickers, which will be included in the seasonal update available to everyone (about which, however, little is still known).
What's new in the 12th season of SnowRunner?
The upcoming season will take players to North Carolina - on four new maps - where their goal will be to help build a nuclear power plant.
As part of the expansion, we will need to deliver the necessary cargo to the construction site, thus helping to build a nuclear reactor and auxiliary buildings around the facility. Furthermore, we will help local farmers and institutions in monitoring the pollution levels in the vicinity of the construction site.
To add variety to our fun, the devs will be releasing two new vehicles as part of the 12th season:
- MTB 8106 Rock Grinder, which features an improved engine for excellent fuel efficiency;
- FEMM 37-AT, a heavy truck that can handle any terrain and allows you to transport almost everything.
In addition to the aforementioned novelties, the developers were supposed to prepare "many activities."
SnowRunner: Public Energy will be released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and computers running macOS and Windows.

What's more, these aren't the only new things that Saber Interactive studio has prepared for its fans today. The developers also presented a new trailer with gameplay fragments (below) from the upcoming Expeditions: A MudRunner Game, which is scheduled for release on March 5, 2024. The short video shows different methods for overcoming the extensive wilderness, which is just waiting to be explored.
