Grand Theft Auto is one of the most recognizable and profitable video game franchises. It is recognized even by people who are not fully interested in what is happening in the game industry. No wonder that it has also penetrated other media. This can be proved by a small easter egg, which appeared in the eighth episode of the fifth season of Better Call Saul, titled Bagman. The GTA Series Videos' Twitter profile contributors have noticed that in one of the scenes, the famous Banshee sports car can be seen for a while. If you're curious, take a look at the video below.
Banshee is a car whose appearance was inspired by sports cars created by Dodge and Chevrolet. It made its debut in the third installment of the GTA series and since then has been featured in all its installments. In the HD universe (starting with GTA IV ) they are produced by Bravado. The real-life blue-white model, used in the latest episode of the popular Breaking Bad spin-off, which is actually a modernized Dodge Vipper SRT-10, was prepared in 2013 by the West Coast Customs team to promote Grand Theft Auto V. Initially, it went to the winner of a draw organized by Rockstar and GameStop, and was sold on eBay to Flat 12 Gallery dealers in late 2018. They were the ones who made the cars available for Better Call Saul.
Of course, the presence of Bravado Banshee in Vince Gilligan's and Peter Gould's show can be seen primarily as an interesting coincidence. It is unlikely to be a harbinger of some great announcements associated with the GTA brand. So far, the sixth installment remains a rumor and, as the well-known industry journalist Jason Schreier suggested not so long ago, this is unlikely to change in the near future.
