Icarus Roadmap Reveals Performance Improvements

RocketWerkz announced first-week development roadmap for Icarus. We will receive new missions and performance fixes in the coming days.

In a nutshell:

  1. RocketWerkz shared a short-term roadmap for Icarus;
  2. This week the game will receive, among other things, performance fixes.

Last Friday marked the release of Icarus, a survival game from the creators of DayZ. Now, RocketWerkz has revealed the game's development plans for the first week after release. The title will receive new missions and performance improvements in the coming days.

The information published by the creators is somewhat vague and scarce. What is known is that there are plans to release new updates on a daily basis. In addition to standard bug fixes, these patches are also supposed to improve the game's performance. Developers drew attention to the fact that some players complain about the technical condition of Icarus.

In addition, new missions will be added. They are to be created based on the suggestions of the community gathered around the title. Apart from that, we know practically nothing about them.

Additionally, the creators boasted that over 50,000 people played their game last weekend. If we peek at the stats on SteamDB, it turns out that the game has achieved a maximum of about 52,500 players.

Plans of the creators at this point are rather vague, so it's hard to predict how big changes will the updates bring. However, it is possible that they will at least partially manage to eliminate the problems that players complain about.
