Icarus: New Frontiers Trailer Turns Up Hype Ahead of Release

A new trailer for the New Frontiers DLC for Icarus, the online survival game designed by Dean Hall (creator of DayZ) has been released.

1. The expansion will be released on August 24, this year and will require the base game.
2. The DLC will introduce to the game a new region of the planet Icarus, named Prometheus, where the terraforming process failed. As a result, it is a very dangerous place where only veteran players should venture.
3. The DLC will offer a new map with three unique biomes (volcanic region, swamps and alien grasslands).
4. In addition to free play, a minicampaign with six story missions will also be available.
5. There will also be new animals and plants.
6. Added to this will be previously unavailable raw materials and more than a hundred new items, which we will create through crafting.

Recall that Icarus is available exclusively on PC. The game was released in December 2021.

The reception of the game turned out to be mixed, mainly due to technical issues, but recently the sentiment of players towards Icarus has begun to improve - while only 69% of all reviews on Steam are positive, when counting only those from the last 30 days, 78% praise the game.
