It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is a sitcom that has never been afraid to tackle difficult topics. The 2005 production became famous for its incorrigible sense of humor and controversial characters and plots, with which it was not difficult to cross certain boundaries. For all sixteen seasons, the creators have been balancing on a thin line, sticking to their risky convention.

And years later, one of the creators and actors starring in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Glenn Howerton, admitted that he regrets one thing about the TV show. He is referring to the title of a musical episode from the third season, which the star believes is offensive, something he didn't notice before, but now understands and is something he would change in the sitcom if he could.

One of the few regrets I have. I would change that title now. I do find that title offensive, personally. At the time I don’t even know what I was thinking.

Howerton is talking about the ninth episode from the third season, whose title is Sweet Dee's Dating a Retarded Person. The title, as well as the way the characters in this episode refer to Dee's new boyfriend, is indeed troublesome, something the production's creator also understood years later.

This issue aside, however, the episode itself is regarded as one of the most beloved. It gave rise to the rivalry between Dayman and Nightman, who later returned in the episode The Nightman Cometh, the finale of the fourth season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
