How to Unlock and Use Auto Battle in Disgaea 7
The auto-battle system in Disagea 7 is different than in earlier instalments. In this guide, we explain how it works.
Disagea 7 brings some changes to the popular Japanese tactical RPG series, including how the auto-battle system works. This feature has been made restrictive, and it can only be activated in specific circumstances. In this article, you will learn how to use auto battle in Disagea 7 and how to unlock it.
How to Unlock and Use Auto Battle in Disgaea 7
The auto-battle in Disagea 7 cannot be used from the beginning of the game. You unlock the ability to auto-battle around the half-point of the main story. Moreover, stages can only be auto-played once you beat them once by yourself. The button that triggers this feature will not appear on uncleared stages.
You can use auto-battle in:
- Dimension Mode
- Carnage Mode
- Ranked Battle (Online PvP)
Cost of using Auto-battle
Auto-play for PvE requires using an item called Poltergas. Just one might not be enough, however; the required amount depends on how many turns you need to clear the stage. On the other hand, if you use auto-battle in online PvP, Poltergas will not be consumed.
There are several ways to obtain Poltergas:
- Playing through stages manually for the first time,
- Clearing specific quests, which require defeating a certain amount of enemies,
- Battling in online PvP and placing in weekly rankings.
The cap of Poltergas you can hold at once is 300.
Demonic Intelligence
Similarly to Disagea 6, setting up Demonic Intelligence is required to use auto-battle. This system allows the player to determine what actions the characters will take when not controlled. It means that the efficiency of auto-battle and how much Poltergas will be consumed depends on how good your set-up is.
