How to Quickly Defeat Heliber in Throne and Liberty
If you are bullied by Heliber in Throne and Liberty, here you will find tips on how to easily dispose of this enemy.
Despite technical issues like problems with ever-hated EAC or even creating a character, Throne and Liberty is gathering hundreds of thousands of players on Steam alone (via SteamDB). Many enjoy this title, thanks to its relatively high quality and free-to-play model. With that in mind, there are a lot of fans, who are new to MMORPG genre and can get lost sometimes, thus they need to be helped. One of the major obstacles comes in the form of Specter’s Abyss Dimensional Circle dungeon, where at its end, we are tasked to fight the dreaded death-like clad Heliber. Here you will learn this foe’s mechanics to dispose of him easily.
How to win Heliber fight in Throne and Liberty
In order to keep a game interesting, various opponents have to work differently. Finding a way to win is a puzzle on its own and is one of the sources of fun. Sometimes, however, those mechanics can be more obscure, like it seems to be in the case of Specter’s Abyss dungeon boss in Throne of Liberty. There is a catch that can make fighting Heliber a lot easier.
There is one specific attack of this scythe-wielding enemy that makes it particularly deadly – Death Sentence. You will recognize it by dark circle appearing under a player who is targeted. Instinctively, we would like to run away from that person, which in this case is a trap. There are effectively two ways of dealing with this strike:
- Stay close to the affected player, gathering as many participants as possible. This way damage from this attack will be shared among all characters inside the dark circle radius.
- If any of the dungeon riders happen to use a staff, Salvation Chain can be used to pull Death Sentenced victims out of Heliber’s range.
Both of those solutions can be concluded with one word: positioning. Always be mindful of your teammates’ location and be ready to help them out.
Other attacks that might be problematic are way easier to avoid. When it comes to boss’ overhead scythe attack, make sure to move out of its way sideways, as the damage wave moves forward in a slight cone. The big AOE (Area of Effect) strike can be alleviated by parrying using defensive skills.
This with a bit of luck and coordination from your party side should allow you to win the fight without too much effort. Make sure that you can heal effectively. If you need a reliable tank or paladin build, we’ve got you covered. Also, if you have some problems with navigation, you can check Soul Arbiter and Circe location, as well as Amitoi House. Good luck!
