Despite mixed reception caused in most part by the privacy concerns and technical issues, Once Human – a sandbox survival game, is off to a good start, being enjoyed by tens of thousands of people. The title features expanded systems responsible for things like thirst, hunger, sanity and so on. You can’t eat anything, as polluted food and water will deprecate your sanity, which leads to reduced max HP. To prevent that, you will have to fill your stomach with at least decent food, yet how anything can be good without a pinch of salt? You probably won’t find it just laying around, so let’s see how to get it to improve your meals.

How to get salt in Once Human

Salt is an important ingredient and can be used as a preservative. In the real life, it can be either mined or evaporated from salty water, which is exactly what we have to do in Once Human to get it. Before we can start boiling out water to get this seasoning, first we have to craft a container that can hold a fluid, namely Sealed Flask.

To craft the tank, it will be required to go to your primary supplies workbench and then use some hides with combination of a couple of shabby fabrics. Once the flask is in our possession, it is necessary to travel to south-eastern corner of the map to the coast or one of the islands there. When you get close to the sea water, a prompt will appear with corresponding key to press labelled “Sea Water” press it to accumulate as much water as you find useful.

With the liquid collected, find a camp or a stove that will allow you to evaporate the water using some of the sea water and logs. And there you have it.
