Pax Dei is an MMORPG game from one of the creators of EVE Online. If you give the game a chance, you will explore a fantasy world inspired by the Middle Ages. In order for your character to progress, you will need better equipment. So, it’s important to collect different resources that will allow you to make upgrades. From this guide you will learn how to get Iron.

How to Get Iron in Pax Dei

In Pax Dei metals appear in several qualities. Depending on which one you find, you will be able to create different things. In the case of iron, you will find a total of three types of deposits. You will recognize them by green and brown spots on the rocks surface.

  1. Impure Iron Ore is the most basic source of this material. You'll find it in mountain / rocky / grassy areas. You can easily mine it with a basic Pickaxe. After melting it, you will receive Iron Ingot.
  2. Iron Ore is the second type of deposit. You can find it mainly outside named regions, for example on the Merrie map it is near the river, which flows through the middle of the province, look for dark / brown areas. To mine it you will need an Iron Pickaxe. You will get Wrought Iron Ingot from this ore.
  3. Pure Iron Deposit is the best quality resource, it appears mostly on the Lyonesse map (look near its borders), so be prepared for some PvP. If you want to mine this material, you will need an Iron Pickaxe.

Once you have acquired the iron you can go to your base and melt it into ingots in a Furnace. However, you must remember that you need Charcoal for this as well. It is also important to notice that you can make better types of ore by smelting the poorer ones.
