While Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 is all about destruction, fans of Warhammer 40K like their lore, too. If you would like to learn more about the game, developers have prepared Dataslates. They are short messages, which tales the story of people who lived in this brutal world. Some of them are quite easy to find, other not so much. While looking for them, you might have stumble upon some problems – like how to read or collect them. Let’s talk about it.

Most people will say that you can just regularly interact with Dataslates to pick them up… and it is true. However, this article has been written because it does not always work. Once collected Dataslate is still visible on your map if you replay the mission, but it is impossible to pick up. It confused me, and probably some players will be in a similar situation, too. Moreover, even if you start a new game, previously collected Dataslates will be there, unpickable.

How to read Dataslates in WH40K Space Marine 2
Sometimes you don’t have time to read all lore you would like to during missions. If you are like me, you will be bothered by it. Luckily, there is a way to fix it, however, quite well hidden. Once you are on the ship hub, press Tab, or whichever button opens the Scoreboard in your case. The new menu will appear, and you will have an access to Dataslate Repository with all collected Dataslates ready to read.
Where to find all Dataslates in WH40K Space Marine 2
While it is not the main point of the article, some of you might have entered this text to read where to find all Dataslates. Space Marine 2 is rather linear game, so just don’t rush it, and check out locations before going after the marker. They are often in side corridors or behind barricades in the corners of the paths.
