Horde mode is a priority of Space Marine 2 devs, but it won't hit the game in 7.0 update
We learned some of the content of the 7.0 update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Furthermore, it was confirmed that Horde mode is one of the developers' priorities.

Update (March 13)
The Space Marine 2 test server has been launched.
Update (March 11)
The test server mentioned in this message will be launched on March 13th. It will allow to check part of the content of the 7.0 update.
Original news (February 28)
The developers of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 have published a February "community update," in which they summarized the past month and also shared their upcoming plans for the game's development.
- At the beginning of the month, a massive 6.0 update was released. Some time later, hotfix 6.1 also launched.
- Patch 6.2 will be released next week and will fix the problem with spore mines, as well as introduce balance improvements.
From February 21 to March 3, there is also a event that allows you to get the Mk VIII Errant helmet without an emblem. Many players pointed out that these attractions trigger FOMO, so the developers have stated that all event items will eventually be accessible to everyone. Through them, they only want to reward the most dedicated part of the community in advance.
Update 7.0
Besides, changes were announced that will arrive in the game in the 7.0 update (we haven't yet learned its release date). We can primarily expect the following elements:
- package of chapters;
- characters package;
- private PvP lobby;
- new weapon, at the beginning available only in PvE mode;
- new operation;
- rebalance of weapon perks;
- revamp of classic weapons;
- PvE Prestige Ranks - when we reach the 25th class level, we will be able to unlock the prestige level, which will provide us with a special perk. Changing this perk won't be possible until unlocking the 4th level of prestige, so the developers recommend making a wise choice.
Horde Mode and public test server
The announcement also mentioned the Horde mode known from the first installment. This one is currently absent in the sequel, but the developers have confirmed that it is one of their priorities. They also emphasized that it will be very different from the one available in Space Marine 1.
Furthermore, it was reported that a public test server will be launched in a few weeks, even before the release of the 7.0 update. Thanks to it, players will gain early access to upcoming features and will be able to help in their polishing. It's worth noting that only Steam users will have access.
The developers released a survey about the Absolute difficulty level. So if you have an opinion that you would like to pass on, you can fill it out on the game website.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PS5, and XSX/S.
