Hogwarts Legacy With Exclusive PlayStation Content; Gamer Reaction Predictable
Fans anticipating the release of Hogwarts Legacy were somewhat surprised to hear that the game will offer content exclusive to PlayStation consoles. Many are unhappy with the lack of prior information.
Hogwarts Legacy has somewhat puzzled the gamers. On the game's page on PlayStation Store we read that the Sony console version has an exclusive quest. This information was also confirmed by Chandler Wood of Avalanche Software on Twitter.

At this point we do not know the details of the task. Wood assured, however, that more information about it is expected to appear soon.
In addition, pre-orders of the PlayStation version of the game will receive the recipe for the Felix Felicis potion as a gift. For those unfamiliar with the Harry Potter universe, we explain that this potion guarantees good luck for a while after drinking it.
In contrast, pre-ordering Hogwarts Legacy on other platforms will only guarantee you access to the onyx hippogriff to ride.
Fans are not happy
The community's reaction is hardly surprising. People who are eagerly awaiting the game don't understand why Avalanche Software didn't inform them about such a move earlier.
The situation is not improved by the fact that if you would like to buy a PS5 specifically for Hogwarts Legacy, you will have to face additional costs, because the price of the console will soon be increased. In turn, the PS4 will soon cease to be produced.

I know you're just an intermediary in communication, this is inconceivable. It should have been communicated long before the start of pre-orders," wrote. Salazar Slytherin.
"And you thought it was necessary to wait until after pre-orders were placed to tell people that there would be platform-exclusive content? Content that hasn't been mentioned in any of the release information so far?," wrote HeroKunning.

Currently, players can do nothing but wait for further developments. Perhaps the content will also appear on other platforms in time, although we can guess that the distaste will remain.
There's still plenty of time left before the release of Hogwarts Legacy - the game will debut on February 10, 2023. The game will be available on PC, PS4, XONE, XSX/S, PS5 and Nintendo Switch (although we do not know the exact release date in the latter case).
