Hogwarts Legacy Players Wish for Feature to Simplify School Life

Players of Hogwarts Legacy are hoping that Avalanche Software will add a small but useful interface feature to the game.

Hogwarts Legacy fulfilled dreams of Harry Potter fans who wanted a game worthy of the novels. However, players are by no means uncritical - even before the official launch they have noticed various shortcomings. Some of them have been fixed in subsequent updates, but many people are missing a minor but useful feature - a clock as part of the user interface.

At first glance, this seems like a small thing, and one may wonder why a thread on Reddit asking the developers to add such a feature has gained the applause of the Hogwarts Legacy community. (1.6 thousand "likes" and almost 200 comments). Especially since, as some Internet users point out, there is no shortage of clocks in the game world.

However, most Reddit users support the idea for one reason: tasks that can only be completed at a certain time of day. Players point out that even when the in-game time seems to be after dark, they often still can't get down to missions related to astrology or demiguise statues, among others.

Yes, there are clocks in the game - including in the dorms and on the big tower on the school grounds. Except that this means that player wishing to check the time has to make a special trip to these places. This, in turn, can be a nuisance if one has gone on a long trip. Or even on school grounds, since clocks can't be found in the corridors, and the behavior of students and teachers doesn't help in figuring out the time of day.

Of course, this is still a relatively minor drawback (although some have used the excuse to also complain about, among other things, the lack of prefect patrols outside some missions). Nevertheless, adding such a timer to the interface should not be a major challenge for the developers. On PC, the players can already take advantage of such a feature thanks to mods.
