Hilarious Adventure Game Manual Samuel Lets You Control Hero’s Entire Body; Due In October
Have you met Samuel, a dead rich boy who has to survive 24 hours controlling his entire body manually? If not, Manual Samuel will be out for PC and consoles next month.
Next month the world of gaming will become richer thanks to a new classic adventure game with a twist. Manual Samuel by indie studio Curve Digital will let you play as Samuel, a spoiled rich boy who never had to do anything on his own. All that changes when he gets hit by a truck and killed. However, Death himself (who looks more like a sly skater here than the Grim Reaper) strikes a deal with Samuel. As a result, the protagonist comes back from the dead, but has to survive 24 hours completely on his own – quite literally on his own. The game is based on a wacky idea of controlling your character’s entire body manually – from breathing and blinking to driving and walking. See how it looks in this trailer:
Hilarious, isn’t it? Interestingly, you will be able to play solo or in a local co-op sharing control of Samuel’s body with another player. What adds to the game’s overall charm are the hand-drawn 2D graphics that look like a Cartoon Networks show. Plus, it has a professional voice over with more than 600 lines of dialogue. Manual Samuel is coming out on October 11, 2016 for PlayStation 4 followed by PC (Steam) and Xbox One release on October 14.
