Henry Cavill in Total War: Warhammer 2
Henry Cavill received his own character in Total War: Warhammer II. It is one of the characters added to the game in the latest expansion - The Warden and the Paunch. The actor once admitted that he likes playing Total War games.
IN A NUTSHELL:
- Henry Cavill got his own character in TW:W2;
- This is a unique variant of Loremaster from Hoeth, having a special trait named White Wolf, in reference to The Witcher;
- The actor has admitted in the past that he likes the Total War series and likes to paint figures from the battle game Warhammer.
Creative Assembly, the creators of Total War: Warhammer II, decided to surprise the players. Together with the latest DLC, The Warden and the Paunchthey have added a character referring to Henry Cavill, who played Geralt in The Witcher series from Netflix (via PCGamesN). It's worth noting that the aforementioned actor admitted in the past that he liked the Total War series, and fans often joked that he should appear in TW:W2.
The character in question is named... Cavill, and is a unique variant of one of the High Elf heroes - Loremaster of Hoeth. Interestingly, the warrior has a special trait, called White Wolf, which gives a bonus of 15 to attack against large opponents - a clear gameplay reference to The Witcher.
The relationship between Henry Cavill and the character in Total War: Warhammer II was confirmed by the game's director, Richard Aldridge.
“For me I love nothing more than bringing the world of Warhammer to life, and like many of our fans I get a buzz out of playing with a new character or painting one of my minis at home. So when when I saw a certain Mr Cavill mentioned that he enjoys nothing more than firing up Total War: Warhammer or painting a few models in his spare time, I thought it would be fun to somehow inject him into the game, like we have with a number of developers over the years. You might even spot me.
With The Warden and the Paunch coming up, it felt like a good time to include Henry, and what better way than having a mighty Loremaster of Hoeth by your side with a few personal special traits to play with when starting a campaign as Eltharion," said Richard Aldridge in a statement for PCGamesN.
