How to use Railgun in Helldivers 2?
Support weapons are heavy firearms which are useful against more powerful opponents. You can unlock them on your ship in Super Frigate Upgrade Terminal. To do this you need Requisition Points. Once you gain access to a certain weapon you will be able to call for it during battle.
One of the support weapons available to unlock is Railgun. To shoot it, you have to hold the fire key to charge and release it when you are ready. The weapon has 2 modes of fire.
- If you have safe mode turned on, the weapon deals less damage, but at the same time you do not take any risk.
- Disabling safe mode means that the the longer you load your Railgun, the more damage you deal. However, if you charge your gun for too long, the weapon will explode in your hands.
If you want to take full advantage of the Railgun's potential, you'll need to turn off safe mode and be accurate. Instead of shooting at random body parts, aim at the head. This way you will eliminate many opponents with one shot.
Railguns are best used against more powerful armored opponents like Charger or Bile Titans. Headshots stun these enemies. In addition, due to the amount of inflicted damage, the weapon will eliminate them quickly.
