Ahsoka gave Hayden Christesen another opportunity to portray Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader. The first time fans got to see the actor return to the role was in last year's Obi-Wan Kenobi, while Dave Filoni's show brought them another opportunity to do so. This time the actor played the role of Anakin for most of the screen time, who helped his protégé complete her training.

Hayden Christensen has always been a fan of Star Wars and treated the opportunity to take part in new projects as a real honor. This was revealed by the actor himself, who in a few sentences described his experience on the set and what the return meant to him (vide Star Wars):

"Wearing Anakin's costume, those Jedi robes, and donning Darth Vader's costume again was a huge honor. It really evokes emotion to have these costumes on. Of course, I know the character very well and I love the mindset and emotional space I have to occupy."

Hayden Christensen's return to the Star Wars universe has been very well received by the fans. Ahsoka showed that the artist would also do well in the live-action version of Clone Wars, if such a project were to come to fruition. His performance in Disney's series proved that he actually understood both sides of the character.

Christensen's facial expressions and fighting style were completely different depending on whether he was Anakin or Vader during a sequence with the main character. The actor clearly gave it his all, to great effect, as his brief appearance is one of the brightest points of the entire series.
