Have a taste of Torment: Tides of Numenera roleplaying in this interactive trailer
What will you do when you are put against tough moral choices? Will you pursuit high standards of justice, show compassion, stick to reason, or simply act on emotions? Find out in this interactive trailer of Torment: Tides of Numenera.
Torment: Tides of Numenera has got a new trailer. Interestingly, this one is interactive and features an example of a side quest with a branching story. Throughout the video you get to make choices and watch their consequences, both immediate and far-reaching. Incidentally, one of the seven alternative outcomes of the story reveals what happens to the main character upon dying – like it was in Planescape Torment, death is not the end of it, but in this game it will also let you explore an interesting location and learn more about the lore.
The choices you make throughout the game are reflected in the morality system based on four Tides. The Indigo Tide stands for higher moral values like compromise, justice and equity, Blue Tide corresponds with widom, reason and insight, Gold Tide goes for empathy, compassion and charity, and finally, Red Tide – a counterpart of the Dark Side of the Force – promotes emotion, passion and action.
We’ve been waiting long for this, but Torment: Tides of Numenera is finally coming out next month. Will it prove a worthy successor to the legendary Planescape Torment? We’ll see about that on February 28, 2017, when the game launches on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStaiton 4.
