Halo Infinite Launch Only in Fall 2021
The delay of Halo Infinite will be greater than we expected. The game will not be released until next fall. In return it will offer much better graphics than what we could see in the July gameplay.
We have bad news for Master Chief fans. 343 Industries announced that Halo Infinite will not be released until the fall of 2021. Initially, it was supposed to be one of the launch titles for Xbox Series X/S, so in total the game will suffer a year-long delay.
Such a long delay can be disappointing news for many fans of the series, but the game is likely to better off this way. The devs also assured that Halo Infinite's graphics will be greatly improved compared to the gameplay shown in July. The visuals appearing on that material have met with severe criticism from players. 343 Industries admits that it didn't present sufficiently high quality, even considering that the project was still not finished.
A lot of improvements have been made since then. Halo Infinite has gained a better lighting system, level of detail of characters and other objects has been increased and the LOD system has been improved, so that situations visible in the demo when the game load textures and objects too late should no longer appear.
The creators also referred to the infamous Craig, a Brute warrior sporting an exceptionally bored expression on his face, who after the presentation became a hero of countless memes. As 343 Industries explains, the appearance of the characters was due to the fact that the mimic system was not yet implemented in the demo. The full version will not have this problem, which combined with the increased level of detail of models and textures should make Craig remain a hero of only one show.
The devs also assured, that the multiplayer mode in Halo Infinite will not use lootboxes, despite the fact that this element of the game will use free-to-play model. There will also be no items that offer an advantage in the game.
