- Devs of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy have released new gameplay footage;
- The differences between each character's fighting styles were shown;
- It was also shown how the world exploration in the game will look like.
The release of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is fast approaching, so more and more gameplay footage appears online. This time the creators shared recordings that shed light on two important aspects of Eidos Montreal's production.
The first material focuses on the combat system. Developers ensure that the combat mechanics they have designed will offer many options for resolving battles. A variety of character skills will help in this and each character will use different tactics.
Rocket is an explosives specialist who can deal damage to multiple enemies at once, Groot is the team's defender and medic, and Drax specialized in close combat. Gamora, on the other hand, attacks single enemies, dealing massive damage to them, while Star-Lord relies on mobility and combinations of various techniques.
The second of the published materials takes up the issue of world exploration. A variety of locations will be at our disposal, including iconic places known to fans of Marvel comics. Moving through them will often require the use of support and skills of heroes belonging to the team.
We'll also explore our ship, which will act as a hub, enabling us to deepen relationships with crew members. On board we'll come across many special events and scenes. In a way it's supposed to resemble the Normandy from the Mass Effect trilogy.
How these elements will prove to work in action, we'll find out soon. The release of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is scheduled for October 26 this year. The game will appear on PC, PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Series S/X and Switch.
