GTA Online Will Get More Single Player Content in the Future
Developers from Rockstar Games admitted in an interview that they plan to add more single player content to Grand Theft Auto Online.
IN A NUTSHELL:
- GTA Online will receive more single player content;
- The developers at Rockstar Games want the game to be fun both in co-op and for solo players.
A new hesist, called Cayo Perico has recently debuted in GTA Online. One of its characteristics is the fact that it can be completed by playing solo, which was not possible with previous heists. It turns out that this game may receive more such content. Developers from Rockstar Games admitted it in an interview with GQ magazine.
I think going forward we’re going to inject more of that single-player element in there," said Tarek Hamad, production director.
According to Scott Butchard, the project director responsible for Cayo Perico, it's a great idea to be able to play both solo and in a team. Both approaches have their advantages - performing the mission solo, we will earn more and it will be easier to sneak in, but with a team we can achieve additional goals.
”It’s something we’re keen to carry forward. We want to respect teams and players who want to play co-op. But at the same time still allow solo players to still get just as valid an experience out of it. There’s perks to both. If you go in there by yourself, you’re taking 100 per cent of the cut and it’s a lot easier to do stealth and plan when you’re not on comms. With multiple players you can split up and do multiple things at once. You can take more of the secondary objectives, so I could send Tarek off to the control tower to take down air defences while I start looting from the wee cash piles,” said the developer.
