GTA 6 Weapons Found in RDR 2 Files

One of the Internet users found in Red Dead Redemption 2's game files the names of weapons that are most likely related to the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. One of the Internet users found some code lines in the console edition of RDR2 that could include possible weapons from GTA 6;
  2. These are Browning Hi-Power pistol and L1A1 and AK-47 rifles - they functioned as part of Red Dead Redemption 2's code for several years now, but only now have they been found.

GTA VI is a game so much awaited by the whole world that internet forums are constantly boiling with all kinds of rumors and theories. In August we heard that the action of the game is said to take place in Vice City, and in November a possible map of the game appeared on the web, but the reliability of both information left a lot to be desired. Yesterday there was another small discovery related to the game - it is quite possible that we got to know some weaspons that we will use in Grand Theft Auto VI.

Where did that come from? It's a bit more complicated story, although when we dismantle it to basic elements, we can really start believing there's something to it. One GTAForums user, DerekLeet, digged a little bit in Red Dead Redemption 2's files and in one of them, namely propsets.meta, he found lines of code with the names of some assault rifles and pistols - Browning Hi-Power, L1A1 and AK-47. See for yourself:

How do we know it's not a weapon from GTA 5? The user compared the aforementioned lines with those used in the fifth installment and noticed some significant differences - including, among others, different marking of the beginning of each name. In case of newly discovered weapons, they begin with a sequence of 'W_J' characters. "W" probably corresponds to the word "weapon", but the meaning of "J" still hasn't been deciphered.

Neither the L1A1 nor the Browning pistol tell us much, although they're both weapons with long tradition (the 1930s and late 1940s / early 1950s respectively) make us think that we will move into the past - perhaps somewhere around 70s or 80s.

It's worth mentioning that the above weapon names have functioned in RDR 2 's files since the game was released on consoles, so it's not a breakthrough discovery. However, it's only now that the Internet users have started to discuss this topic and they are rather unanimous that we are dealing with an intriguing curiosity, which may actually concern Grand Theft Auto 6.
