- More leaks about GTA 6 appeared on the web;
- This time it is a map of the theme park and logos of radio stations;
- The published information sparked heated discussions among players.
Analyzing more scarce leaks is probably one of the biggest hobbies of fans waiting for GTA 6. They've just been given a new excuse to talk - a map of the theme park that's supposed to be present in the next installment of the series has appeared online. It is called Fred's Fun World, and its design has sparked online discussions.
It all started with a 4chan user who published a short post on the forum. She stated that her former partner worked on GTA 6 and was responsible for creating textures for objects appearing in Fred's Fun World. Unfortunately, most of the things she was able to see were simple signs and ambient elements. She also hasn't heard any details about the park or any direct confirmation that it's related to the next installment of Rockstar Games' series.
In her post, however, she included a photo that she managed to take. It shows a map of the amusement park, which was divided into several sectors. The author of the photo admitted at the same time that the layout of the locations matches the alleged world map of GTA 6, which appeared earlier in the web. This would mean that both elements are related or the person responsible for them put a lot of work in making the deception credible. Interestingly, a post showing the connection between the said world map and the theme park was removed by the moderators of the r/GTA6 channel.
In addition, users of 4chan and Reddit very quickly noticed that the names of individual sectors of the park fit the style to which we've become accustomed in the GTA series. The author of the post compared them to the shops, bars and clubs that we saw in the previous installment. We have to admit that attractions such as Juicy Weiners, Get Blasted and The Dragon's Hole correspond to the specific sense of humor to which Rockstar accustomed us in the past.
However, these are not the only reasons why GTA fans found the leak credible. They also cited statements made by Miriam Bellard, art director of Rockstar North, two years ago. During an online panel on environment design, she talked about Disneyland and the principles of theme park creation. These experiences were to be used in the production of DLC for GTA 5, among other things, but it's possible that the creators were already working on Fred's Fun World from the sixth installment at the time. However, this is a very bold speculation.
The user responsible for the photo of the park map did not stop at just that. Soon she returned with more pictures that allegedly relate to GTA 6. This time they are logos of radio stations that would make our driving around the city more pleasant. Although initially this leak also aroused enthusiasm among the players, with time it aroused great suspicion among them.
Logos of radio stations, which were published by the person responsible for the map of the theme park
The names of both images seemed to suggest that they were taken on the same day. However, they differ significantly in quality, which suggests that the author used two different cameras. One has to admit that this would be an odd behavior when taking a photo at a similar time. In addition, in her first post she claimed to have no other material than the photo of the amusement park map. It is doubtful that while writing this she forgot that she also took a photo of the radio station logos.
It's hard to clearly assess the credibility of the leak. Some of its elements fit perfectly with the previous scraps of information. However, we can't completely reject the option that this is just a very elaborate fake. This is indicated by the actions of the author of the leak, who suddenly began to publish further materials, which had not been mentioned before. As always in such cases, this type of information must therefore be approached with caution. Until they are confirmed by official sources or reliable informants, we should treat them only as a curiosity.
