GTA 5 on PS5; First 30 Minutes of Gameplay With Ray Tracing
Tomorrow will see the release of refreshed GTA V on current-gen consoles. Some gameplay recordings with ray tracing enabled are already available across the web.
Tomorrow Xbox Series X/S and PS5 will see the release of GTA V along with its online module and the first gameplay recordings of the refreshed version of the multigenre hit have been published online.
Gameplay from PS5
Video Games Chronicle (VGC) has shown the first 30 minutes of gameplay from Grand Theft Auto V on PlayStation 5. The gameplay shows the game running in Fidelity Mode, which supports native 4K resolution and ray tracing, while aiming for 30 frames per second.
In early March, Rockstar Games gave us new details about the current-gen version of GTA V, including information about three graphic modes:
- Fidelity Mode
- Performance mode
- Performance mode with ray tracing
The new release also offers general improvements, including faster loading times, more people and cars on the streets, denser vegetation, better lighting quality - shadows, water reflections and more. In addition, edge smoothing and motion blur will be improved.
VGC also prepared a gallery comparing the game on PS4 and PS5. The new version appears much sharper, more colorful and close to the PC edition on maximum settings, though overall it's clear the title is dated. The effects can be examined here.
GTA V and GTA Online for current-gen consoles will be available digitally tomorrow via PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store. The title has been available for pre-load since March 8.
