GRID Legends in First Reviews; Gamers Divided
The first reviews and player opinions about GRID Legends have appeared on the web. The game is not amazing, but should provide fans with a decent dose of entertainment.
- GRID Legends is another solid game from Codemasters, according to reviewers;
- Players on Steam, however, are divided.
- On Valve's store, the game enjoys only 65% of positive reviews.
We finally lived to see the release of the next installment of the GRID series, subtitled Legends.. Along with it, the first reviews and player feedback on Steam have appeared online.
Unfortunately, they suggest that the game will not be a big hit. Although there is no shortage of voices praising the title, almost all agree that it's nothing special.
Another solid game by Codemasters
From the reviews posted on Metacritic we learn that GRID Legends is a decent racing game that does not bring shame to Codemasters. A journalist from Hardcore Gamer was even tempted to say that this is the best installment of the series.
The game is said to be offering a pleasant driving model, combining features of a simulator and arcade. Thanks to this it is supposed to be accessible to every player.
The title is also supported by a multitude of game modes and customization options, as well as very good visuals.
However, reviewers agree that the Driven To Glory story mode is just a small extra, which is characterized by a really low level of narration and quality of cinematics.
The game was also criticized for the repetitiveness and grind that appears after some time, as a result of which unlocking new content can be a bit frustrating.
Even so GRID Legends is expected to offer a decent amount of entertainment, even if it's unlikely to end up on the list of the best racing games released in recent times.

Gamers are divided
As a result of yesterday's release on Steam there were also opinions of the players themselves. These seem to be divided.
The majority of people who purchased GRID Legends have stated that the game has indeed seen progress compared to the 2019 installment.
The races are said to be really engaging, helped by the well-designed AI. Players also praise the visuals and the extensive car park. Numerous customization options for the vehicles were also well received.
Users on Steam also mention the optimization of GRID Legends, which is supposed to make the title run better than the three-year old installment.
Many players, however, claim that while creating this game, the developers were split between the desire to make a simulator and an arcade game. As a result, the driving model is to be quite unpredictable and hard to master.
Fans are also skeptical about the story mode. According to most of them, this element is poorly engaging extra of questionable quality.
Finally, the reviews of players on Steam are mixed (65% positive reviews). GRID Legends should, however, offer a decent dose of entertainment for the biggest fans of racing games.
