In Gray Zone Warfare, you play as a mercenary in the Democratic Republic of Lamang, which is under quarantine for undisclosed reasons. You can interact with different factions and choose who to make dealings with as you try to uncover what exactly is going on within the country. The game features multiple mutually exclusive quests, which means that they have the same objective, but are given by different characters, and only one can be completed in one playthrough. A pair of such quests is Reclamation, given by Handshake, and Covert Research, given by Lab Rat.

Gray Zone Warfare (GZW) - How to Finish Reclamation or Covert Research

Both Reclamation and Covert Research are about retrieving Cargo from a Fortified Hideout. The quest is the same for all factions, but the city in which you have to complete it is different. Depending on your PMC, you should go to Kiu Vongsa, Pha Lang or Nam Thaven. However, it seems that all locations look the same, except that the city is turned around on its axis on the map, so the screenshot below, showing the Hideout in Nam Thaven, should be helpful for all players.

Find a white house with a balcony and a long stairway leading up to it. Be careful, as it is a highly contested zone and you will have to fight multiple AI enemies to reach it. Once you’ve cleared out the area, go upstairs and enter the first door from the left. The cargo is placed on the floor near to the bed.

If you’re unsure which quest to complete, take a look at the list of rewards you can get from each NPC and try to decide based on what loot will be more helpful in your playthrough.

Keep in mind that the choice of either vendor does not block you from doing tasks for the other in the future, though some more advanced missions may take a while to unlock.
