Got Nothing to Do in Diablo 4? 'Take a Break, Play Something Else,' Dev Advises
Diablo 4 developer is encouraging players who have „reached their goals” to take a short break from the hack & slash before the first season starts.
Diablo 4 was released barely a little over a month ago. However, the most "avid" fans of Blizzard's series have already managed to reach the maximum level, beating the most difficult opponent in the game. Now, many of them complain of boredom.
They consider the game extremely tedious at a late stage of play, when the gameplay begins to rely on doing the same thing over and over again, without a clear sense of progression.
The developers, in response to criticism, recommend malcontents to "take a break" while waiting for the new season. In doing so, they are sending a clear message to players that the preseason is a time to get acquainted with the mechanics and complete the campaign. The game in its current state is to be a "base" that will be expanded in the future.
"When you have achieved all the goals and done the things you think are important, take a break, play something else - we are doing the same."
Start of the season with a new beginning
The signal for Diablo 4 players to return is to be the start of season 1, which will launch on July 20. Along with it, new content will come to the game - including a season pass.
Importantly, however, the debut of the first season of Blizzard's hack & slash should be understood as a new beginning, both symbolically and literally. After all, players wishing to continue playing the game - this time with additional content - will be forced to create a new season pass character.
Diablo's general director, Rod Fergusson, explained that this will allow for (almost) equal footing for "rookies" jumping into the title, as well as players returning after a long break.
"It's great to know that there is a moment when I can return to Diablo 4 and everyone will have a level playing field.
