God Of Weapons - Controller not Working Fix
Even though God of Weapons received a new patch, there are still issues with controllers. If you are affected by this problem, here you will learn how to fix it.
God of Weapons is with us for some time already and in its core, the title resembles Vampire Survivors combined with equipment management form Backpack Hero. Recently, it received a significant update revamping some of the game’s features. Many people got back to it to check out the contents and changes that the patch brought. As everything revolves around armament in this production, you have to focus on yours too. Some players prefer to arm themselves with a keyboard and mouse setup, while others like controllers more. Fans who decided to choose pads as their main weapon, might have stumble upon issues though, where their controller is not working properly. If the same happened to you, worry not. There are methods that can help you solve this problem.
Controller not working in God of Weapons fix
Many players prefer controller to keyboard and mouse, as their analogue inputs can be superior in specific scenarios. Not to mention, that it can be simply more comfortable to use a pad. This, however, can pose problems on PC, as the variety of controllers to use is huge. God of Weapons is not the only game that might need additional tweaks before using your device. The fix is similar for most games though.
There are several things that you can try. Depending on your setup, different fix methods can work for you:
- First thing to try is to disable Steam Input option, to let the game handle it on its own. To do that, right click on God of Weapons in your Steam Library, select Properties… option, then go to Controller tab and Disable Steam Input. In some cases, enabling Steam input may fix your problem. Try that, if the option was disabled earlier.
- Another thing to try is to turn on Steam Overlay (“Shift + Tab” by default), and then by using the same key combo, turn it off.
- Next simple thing to try is to replug / reconnect your controller.
In one of the threads on Steam Community Hub, it has been stated that the developers are working on resolving this issue. However, since October when the message was posted, the problem persists.
Additionally, the game does not support remapping the inputs natively. The way to deal with that would be to use Steam settings to remap them to your liking, but it can make the pad unusable for this game since it requires enabling Steam Input. There is also third-party software that can help you with that.
