God of War Ragnarok Space Requirements on PS4 are Impressive
Interesting rumors have appeared on the web regarding the size of God of War: Ragnarok. It turns out that on PS4 the game will be surprisingly „heavy”.
A new leak suggests that God of War: Ragnarok on PlayStation 4 could take up as much as 118.5 GB on disk, which would make the game one of the biggest releases in PS4 history.
- The source is a photo published by a tester by the handle NoeL on Twitter, showing the installation process. Of course, this should be taken with a grain of salt, waiting patiently for official confirmation of the information. However, many people have already received early versions of the game for testing, so the size provided for God of War: Ragnarok may be correct.
- 118.5 GB is most likely the size of the game including the day one patch (althoug for the previous God of War the release update was not particularly "heavy").
- It should be noted that this information applies only to the game's PlayStation 4 release. The PlayStation 5 version will most likely be a different size. Earlier rumors spoke of 90.6 GB for the PS5 edition including the release patch, which, however, is still a figure double that of the God of War (45 GB).
It is worth mentioning that initially the developers planned to encapsulate the brand's Norse saga in a trilogy, but ultimately decided to tell the entire story in just two games. Nevertheless, the latest part of the series is expected to be slightly shorter than the previous one.
Recall that God of War: Ragnarok will be released on November 9, this year. The game will debut exclusively on PlayStation 4 and 5 consoles. The previous part of the series, i.e. God of War, made its way to PC after a few years, so it's possible that the latest installment will get the same treatment in some time.
