God of War: Ragnarok Saves 2022, The Internet Declares
The release date announced by Sony Interactive Entartainment for God of War: Ragnarok has turned the embers of hope buried in the hearts of impatient fans into a blaze. The upcoming game has a chance to save the current year, otherwise extremely poor in AAA game releases.
Video game developers in 2022 are not particularly spoiling us when it comes to thrilling, content-rich titles. Admittedly, racing game fans got the long-awaited Gran Turismo 7, the library of RPGs has been expanded with the equally eagerly awaited Elden Ring from FromSoftware, but good action-adventure titles were few and far between in the past months. Most likely, this is why the Internet reacted so vividly to the news of this year's release of God of War: Ragnarok (you can find more information about it here). If the game will be at least half as good as the enthusiastic comments of fans, we are undoubtedly in for an extremely hot fall season..
To illustrate how eagerly awaited is the next installment of the adventures of Kratos and Atreus, it is enough to quote the usual numbers. These were presented on Twitter by industry specialist Benjisales. On PlayStation's instagram profile under the post announcing the upcoming game, more than a million "hearts" have appeared. In turn the tweet with the release date of God of War: Ragnarok earned 153 thousand likes.
The case is no different on YouTube. The service experienced a veritable siege under the short trailer of the game. The video has already been viewed about 3 million times and has earned 166 thousand thumbs up. There are far fewer signs of dissatisfaction - only 2.1 thousand.
But maybe let's leave the dry numbers and go to the comments of Internet users, which retain a very positive tone. Below is a selection of fan reactions to the news of the upcoming Ragnarok.
"Santa Monica Studio must be congratulated. It must have been a tough journey to create this during the pandemic and given the extreme expectations after the first game. It will certainly pay off on November 9," writes tyler980908/ Source: Reddit.
"Today is my birthday and this news is a great gift lol," comments afanofBTBAM/ Source: Reddit.
"I knew there was a reason I booked the entire month of November for vacation," rejoices RevolutionaryKey5082/ Source: Reddit.
"Since I don't own a PS5, I'm glad I can still get this game on PS4. To hell with the graphics. I need gameplay and story!," declares evildrtran/ Source: Reddit.
My particular attention was caught by one of the responses of a Twitter user, who shared the following graphic under Santa Monica studio's post:
Isn't that a telling image? However, I have no doubt that the title will also be played by women.
As you can see, November 9 this year will certainly be quite a holiday for fans of the adventures of the mighty Kratos and his son Atreus.. Let's hope that the game will meet the high expectations, a foretaste of which we showed you above.
At the very end, we provide a short trailer for God of War: Ragnarok.
