Photo Mode in GoW: Ragnarok Now Available
God of War Ragnarok has received a new update. A number of improvements have been made to the game, but the most important new feature seems to be the anticipated photo mode.
Released in November, God of War Ragnarok received an extensive update. In addition to technical fixes, the developer offered the players a photo mode, enabling gamers to capture unforgettable scenes and sights. Many users have been waiting for the tool, and after presenting its capabilities, it can be said that no one will be disappointed. NOTE: be warned of possible spoilers in the accompanying materials.
Capabilities
Photo mode enables us to modify the expressions of nine characters: Kratos, Atreus, Freya, Brok, Sindri, Tyr, Angrboda, Thor and Thrúd. The tool provided by Sony gives the player a wide range of configurations. It is possible to adjust the focal length, field of view, aperture or sharpening distance of the image. In addition, the game enables us to modify the photo by, among other things, changing the color saturation or applying a vignette.
Priority settings
It must be admitted that the tool offered by the developer is rich in various options. For this reason, Tim Ward, quality control manager at Santa Monica Studio, shared his advice on taking and editing photos. He appreciated the role of the vignette as an element that emphasizes the depth of a photograph, and also pointed out the possibility of increasing color saturation. He noted that rotating the scene can positively affect the dynamics of the shot. The priority, however, is proper lighting. To get it right, you need to find its source and adjust the entire shot.
Update for God of War Ragnarok is available for both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 owners.
