God of War on PC Received Mods Just Hours after Release
God of War on PC got first mods already after a few hours after the launch.They revolve mainly around the visuals.
How much time do modders need to create new content for a game? If we take the example of the PC version of God of War, it's safe to say that a few hours is enough. On the Nexus Mods website on the day of the release of GoW six modifications appeared. Currently, there are fifteen.
These are not, admittedly, projects radically changing the game - the vast majority of them introduce only graphical improvements to God of War. Thanks to modifications we can follow the adventures of Kratos and Atreus both in a cinematic mood(Mythology Reshade), and less dark atmosphere(Simple Realistic) and in a more pleasant to the eye smoothed out environment(Clear Fantasy).
Among the projects, we can also find the New Game Plus mode, which the modders exported from the console. Thanks to this, players can experience the storyline of God of War without worrying about upgrading equipment. Such modifications include New Game Plus Start File, God of War NG Plus and Ultimate GOW Modded Starter Save. In the latter, if you believe the modder, Kratos is strong enough to not need armor.
God of War on PC is currently available on Steam and Epic Games Store. On the first of these platforms the game has already received nearly 10 thousand reviews, almost all of which are positive. So the port can definitely be considered a success.
