- 4K resolution;
- No fps cap;
- Better shadows and reflections;
- SSDO and GTAO effects;
- DLSS and Nvidia Reflex support;
- Ultrawide monitor support;
- Native support for DualShock 4 and DualSense.
The most important event of yesterday in the games industry turned out to be the announcement of the PC version of God of War, one of the biggest PlayStation 4 hits. Now a lot of additional information has emerged about the technical layer of this port. On this occasion, it was revealed that the console edition sold 19.5 million copies.
PC version of God of War will enable us to play in 4K and without an fps cap. On maximum settings it will offer higher resolution shadows and better reflection effects than on PS4. GTAO and SSDO effects will also be added.
God of War PC will use DLSS and Nvidia Reflex lag reduction technology. There will also be support for ultrawide monitors in 21:9 aspect ratio. Those who prefer to play on gamepads will be pleased to hear the announcement of native support for DualShock 5 and DualSense, as in the case of other Sony games. Unfortunately, this is not a standard in the industry and in many games we have to deal with Xbox gamepad icons after connecting these controllers to the PC. Sometimes fans provide mods to fix this, but we're not always so lucky.
Of course, there will also be an option to play using the keyboard and mouse, and the creators promise that in the menu we can freely assign keys and mouse buttons to specific actions.
The PC version of God of War will be released on January 14, next year. The game will be available for purchase on Steam and Epic Games Store.
