The 1.05 update for Stardew Valley has been released. This is the biggest patch in the history of this game. It introduces a lot of new elements, including additional region and co-op mode on split screen.

PATCH 1.05 IS:
  • A new region with unique adventures, characters, enemies and mini-games;
  • Improved farm management and house modifications;
  • Advanced options menu, enabling us to configure many elements of the world;
  • Ton of new animals, plants and items;
  • Interface, gameplay and balance improvements;
  • Local co-op on split screen.

The popular agricultural RPG Stardew Valley has seen the release of the long-announced patch 1.5. The patch is currently only available on PC. Work on the console versions is ongoing, but we will wait for these releases until next year.

Patch 1.05 is the largest update in Stardew Valley's history. The patch expands the game world with a new region in the form of Ginger Island. The island is filled with characters, challenges, mini games, puzzles and adventures. There is also a dungeon located inside the volcano, the layout of which changes every time we go inside. There are also new items and enemies.

Patch also expands the farm management options. We can now build it on the beach, and ostriches have appeared among animals available for husbandry. The options to modify the appearance of houses and their interiors have been expanded. Moreover, ducks can finally swim.

The update expands the menu with advanced options, enabling us to configure the world before we start playing. We can, among others, enable/disable such elements as monster spawns or randomness of many gameplay elements. A local cooperation mode on split screen for up to four players has also been added.

The update brings a lot of new items, including additional fertilizers, crops, clothes, fish species, furniture and decorations. The patch also introduces many small changes to make the game more fun, such as the option to sit on chairs, improved interface and gameplay balance. There were also numerous bug fixes.

All these things are only a part of the novelties introduced by patch 1.05. The full list of changes includes several hundred items.
