Ghostrunner Sales Exceed Publisher's Forecast
By the end of 2020, more than half a million copies of Ghostrunner had been sold, beating the publisher's forecasts.
Polish studio One More Level has reasons to be happy. The team's latest project called Ghostrunner sold over half a million copies. The result was achieved by the end of last year, so by now it is probably a little higher.
All in! Games, which publishedGhostrunner, assumed that the game's total sales would reach 400,000 copies. This level was achieved in just two months from the launch, so the publisher is very pleased with how the game is doing on the market.
Ghostunner launched on October 27, last year on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. In December, the version for Nintendo Switch was released. The game met with a warm reception. On Metacritic, the PC edition has an average rating of 81%. In the case of the XONE and PS4 editions it is 76%, and the edition for Switch received 73%. Our editor also appreciated the project, giving it 8.0/10, while on Steam, 91% of user reviews are positive.
Last month Ghostrunner received an update which introduced a new, more difficult mode called Hardcore Mode, offering modified levels with tougher enemies. At the same time, a paid DLC with cosmetic item called Winter Pack was released.
The development will not end there. While bragging about the sales results, the publisher announced that the development of the project is planned for twelve months after the release. We can expect further updates, a large DLC expansion and Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 ports.
