Ghostrunner 2 Announced

505 Games has announced that Ghostrunner 2 - the sequel to the successful game by One More Level - is being developed. The work on the continuation will be supervised by the same team.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. 505 Games announced the start of work on Ghostunner 2;
  2. Polish studio One More Level will be responsible for the game, same as the first part;
  3. The title will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Yesterday, 505 Games, the company that acquired the Ghostrunner brand in last March, announced that last year's hit will get a sequel. Work on Ghostrunner 2 will be carried out by One More Level studio from Krakow, which created the first part. This is good news for all fans who were afraid that after changing the publisher the game might be entrusted to another studio.

Unfortunately, at the moment we do not know much more about Ghostrunner 2. We only know that the game is to be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. However, we got to know a bit more details about the first part - the publisher boasted that Ghostrunner has sold 600 thousand copies since the game's release in October 2020. We also got confirmation that before the end of 2021 the game will hit current-gen consoles.

505 Games' announcement doesn't provide any details - we didn't get even a modest trailer or a general outline of what the game will look like. So we can assume that the development process is just beginning, or is at a very early stage. Nevertheless, we should expect that, just like in the first game, Ghostrunner 2 will be a cyberpunk FPP game, where the main course will be the skillful use of melee weapons and the main character's mobility. Certainly there will be some improvements waiting for us, which the developers will now be able to afford - the game's budget will be 5 million euros.
