Ghost of Yotei Officially Announced. Ghost of Tsushima Sequel's Stunning Trailer Highlights State of Play
Sony announced a sequel to Ghost of Tsushima - Ghost of Yotei. We know when the game will hit the PS5 and PS5 Pro.
The State of Play show concluded unexpectedly with the announcement of the game Ghost of Yotei, which is a sequel to Ghost of Tsushima. The first trailer and release window for the great game by Sucker Punch studio's sequel has been revealed. The game is set to hit PS5 and PS5 Pro in 2025.
The developers were keen on staying faithful to the assumptions of the original. They aimed to let players once again take on the role of a warrior traveling through feudal Japan, providing the opportunity for unrestricted exploration of a stunning, expansive world. On the other hand, the devs wanted to introduce something fresh. That's why they expanded beyond Jin Sakai's story and the island of Tsushima, introducing a new hero who conceals her face behind the Ghost's mask - Atsu.
Her story will take us to the year 1603, about 300 years after the events of Ghost of Tsushima. We will find ourselves in the vicinity of the titular mountain, Yotei, which rises in the heart of the Ezo region (today known as Hokkaido). At the beginning of the 17th century, it was full of grassy plains and snow-covered tundra. We can believe that the landscapes in Ghost of Yotei will be just as picturesque as in the previous part.
The more impressive visuals are expected to result from the fact that the discussed title is designed for PS5, unlike the first installment, which was for PlayStation 4. The developers are already boasting about the huge range of views and even more realistic movement of grass in the wind, as well as the possibility of introducing new mechanics, upgrades, and weapons. What exactly? We will find out about this in the near future.
