Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut Coming to PS5 and PS4
The American ESRB organization has rated Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut, the new version of last year's hit from Sucker Punch. The game is coming to both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
In early June, a director's cut of Death Stranding was announced for consoles and PC. It looks like a special edition of last year's hit from Sucker Punch will also be available in the coming months. The website of the American age rating organization ESRB added an entry dedicated to Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut, which is to be released on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
So far we do not know if there will be any additional attractions waiting for the fans apart from the already released updates and free DLC with multiplayer mode (Ghost of Tsushima: Legends). Usually the director's cut versions of games contain a number of improvements and novelties compared to the original. For now we do not know how it will be in this case. Most likely, we will see the most changes, mainly in visuals, on PlayStation 5. Recall that for some time rumors have been circulating on the net about a standalone single-player expansion, which is to be titled Ghost of Ikishima.
The puzzling thing is that the PS4 version of Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut has received an In-Game Purchases stamp by the ESRB.. Let's add that in the original version of the title there were no microtransactions. As the mark is assigned only to one platform, we can suspect that this is an update to the PlayStation 5 version, which until now was only available in backward compatibility mode and did not use the full potential of the new console.
Ghost of Tsushima is one of the biggest new gaming IPs to debut in the passing console generation. A total of 6.5 million people bought the game in less than a year. In March, Sony announced plans to make a movie based on the game's story. The movie will be directed by Chad Stahelski, known for John Wick.
