Forza Horizon 4 Won't Get Any More New Content
As confirmed by Playground Games' senior producer Tom Butcher, Forza Horizon 4 will not receive any more new content. Interestingly, support for the title will not end, but it will take place in a slightly different form than before.
Playground Games had some sad news for the fans of the Forza Horizon today, regarding the introduction of fresh content to the fourth installment. Unfortunately, today's update to Forza Horizon 4 will be the last major patch that will be coming out. However, there are some positives of this situation - the developers have decided not to abandon the festival in the UK and have plan to "remix" the already existing features (via Forza Monthly - June 2021).
To be clear, the latest portion of content, numbered 37, will be the last to introduce brand new things to the game. All subsequent updates will be in some way a re-purposing of previously introduced unique vehicles, races or events that appeared in series 7 through 32. Think of it as a combination of old, most popular content with big features that were previously unavailable in the game.
All the information was provided during the Forza Monthly broadcast by senior producer Tom Butcher, who explained that limiting the introduction of new content to Forza Horizon 4 is the result of redirecting the full capacity of Playground Games' staff to the fifth installment of the series. Unfortunately, Butcher was unable to clarify whether Forza Horizon 4 will receive any further updates after the release of Forza Horizon 5. As he said - the team wants to make sure that Forza Horizon 4 continues to be a great experience, but he's not ready to confirm continued support for the game.
Forza Horizon 5 will be released on November 9, this year, on PC, Xbox One and Series X/S.
