Geometry Dash, a popular indie rhythmic platformer from RobTop Games, received version 2.2. The update was so popular that the game set its new record in number of concurrent players - over 88 thousand (via SteamDB). Sadly, while adding a lot of new features, the patch introduced some bugs, too. One of them is connected to Level Editor, a feature which is very important for fans. Players can’t edit their own maps, the game crashes when they try to do so.

After introduction of the Geometry Dash 2.2 version, many players have noticed that they can’t edit levels. If they try to do so, the game crashes. However, not all creations trigger this problem. Fans have discovered the potential source of the issue.
According to many gamers, the problem is not the Editor as a whole, but one option in it. The culprit is a Midground feature. While creating a new map, don’t enable it, just leave it be. Without this option active, your levels should be bug free.
What to do in the case of maps with Midground enabled? Sadly, you can’t do anything except waiting for an official patch. It may take a little bit though, as we enter Holiday/Christmas period and many people, including developers, will have a break from work. You need to be patient
