GeForce RTX 3080 Shoes Have Working Fan and Display
Artifact Studios / RTFKT has unveiled shoes equipped with an LCD screen, a fan and... a replica of Nvidia's flagship GPU, the GeForce RTX 3080.
IN A NUTSHELL:
- RTFKT and NZXT have created "next-gen" shoes - featuring a GeForce RTX 3080 replica, LCD screen and fan;
- The shoes looks amazing, but it's hard to say if it will actually go on sale.
Artifact Studios (RTFKT) has teamed up with NZXT to create shoes that feature... a replica of the GeForce RTX 3080 GPU. As if that wasn't enough, the shoes also have a working fan and a small LCD screen. You can admire the bizarre shoes in the following tweet published by the manufacturer.
So far we do not know too much about the presented product. The display looks similar to the one known from the Kraken Z73 cooler and presents a gif from the Dragon Ball anime. It also looks like, similarly to the fan, we will be able to customize the displayed content via the dedicated NZXT Cam software.
The shape of the shoes suggests that this is a product that will probably perform better on a store shelf than on our feet - especially if the "window" that shows the inside of the shoe presents its actual interior, rather than things that aren't really there. It's possible that these are collector's shoes, which will never go on sale in real life, or at least not in large quantities (which, by the way, could be seen as another jab at the shortage of Nvidia's Ampere graphics chips).
Interestingly, the reception of the tweet is extremely positive - many potential buyers seem to be interested in such shoes. Would you walk?
