Gamescom Opening Night Live Schedule and Details

Geoff Keighley provided new details about the opening ceremony of this year's gamescom. Among other things, we found out that the whole event will last 2 hours. Currently there are plans to present 38 games from 18 different publishers.

In mid-August, well-known industry journalist Geoff Keighley boasted that during the opening ceremony of the gamescom 2020 fair (which, let's recall, due to the coronavirus epidemic will be held this year in digital version only), which is the final of his great Summer Game Fest initiative, we will see over 20 games. Now, a little over a week later, Keighley has made this information more precise. According to Twitter, 38 productions from 18 different publishers will be shown during the upcoming event. It's mainly about already announced titles, but there will also be some brand new announcements.

In addition, Keighley revealed that the opening ceremony of the digital gamescom fair will take around two hours. It will be broadcast live straight from the studio in Los Angeles. Everything will be done according to all safety standards, so no audience will be present.

As you may remeber, the opening ceremony of the gamescom 2020 fair will take place on August 27. The whole event will start equally at 11 AM PT. We now know that the event will show, among others, the story expansion for Doom Eternal, as well as Fall Guys and its second season. More details are to be provided soon.
