Geoff Keighley Brings First Info of Gamescom 2021 Opening Night
We got to know details about the opening night of gamescom 2021, which this year will also take place entirely online. During a special two-hour Opening Night Live stream, players will have a chance to see previews of new games and more footage from the most anticipated productions.
In May, we received official confirmation that due to pandemic restrictions this year's edition of GamesCom will once again be held exclusively online. The organizers also announced then that the event will be held on August 25-27. During this time, the players can expect various online events. The highlight of the fair remains the official opening, the so-called Opening Night Live, first details of which have just been revealed.
Gamescom 2021 will open with a two-hour stream hosted by Geoff Keighley, which will start on Wednesday, August 25 at 11:00 AM PT. During the show we're expected to see new footage from some of the biggest games launching this year. The organizers assure that there will also be titles that will be released in the next few months.
At the moment we don't have any information on specific games that may appear at the opening of GamesCom 2021, but we know that Electronic Arts, Activision, Ubisoft, Bandai Namco, Koch Media, Microsoft, and Bethesda, among others, have confirmed their presence at the event. We can almost certainly expect a presentation of the new installment of Call of Duty and Battlefield 2042, while many fans are also hoping for a presentation of the long-awaited Elden Ring.
