Game of Thrones May Get Another Spin-off Series

There have been reports that HBO Max wants to develop an adult animated series set in the Game of Thrones universe.

Recently, possible Game of Thronesspin-offs have been multiplying like rabbits. The latest one is an animated adult series set to hit HBO Max. Unfortunately, no details about the plot have been revealed.

We don't know whether it's going to be a cartoon or a CGI production. It is known, however, that the atmosphere and tone will resemble Game of Thrones. So there are no plans to develop something "lighter" for the younger audience.

It is worth noting that the project is being created exclusively for HBO Max. The other spin-offs are also to debut on the traditional HBO channel, while the animated production is to appear only in streaming.

The Hollywood Reporter was the first to write about the project. It obtained confirmation of this information from several sources. WarnerMedia is currently in talks with a number of potential screenwriters. The editors, however, warn that nothing may finally come out of it if the idea ends up abandoned.

In the article of The Hollywod Reporter there was also an interesting information that the father of the series, that is George R.R. Martin, is heavily involved in works on the expansion of the brand.

Recall that in April the shooting of the live-action spin-off House of the Dragon begins. HBO has ordered a ten-episode first season, which is to be aired next year. Until recently, it seemed that this would be the only spin-off, as another project of this kind, known under the temporary title Bloodmoon, was scrapped after the pilot was poorly received by the station's decision-makers. However, a few days ago it was reported that an adaptation of the Tales of Dunk and Egg short stories was also planned.
