We have learned the release date of the free precision farming DLC for Farming Simulator 22. The expansion will be released this April.
GIANTS Software announced the exact release date of Precision Farming, the free precision farming DLC for Farming Simulator 22. The DLC will be released on April 19 this year, simultaneously on PC and consoles.
It is worth recalling that a few years ago a similar expansion was released for Farming Simulator 19. It turned out to be a big success - it was downloaded more than a million times.
Precision farming DLC for Farming Simulator 22 - what we know
- The expansion is being developed in collaboration with John Deere and EIT Food, the European Institution for Innovation and Technology in the Food Industry. Other partners from the European Union - the University of Hohenheim (Germany), the University of Reading (UK), Grupo AN (the largest cereal company in Spain) and the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences - also participated in the project.
- The Precision Farming DLC will introduce gameplay enhancing elements such as crop sensors, environmental testing systems and many other features.
- We will also get new ways of sowing, weed control and fertilizer dosage.
- The DLC will enrich the game with environmental sensors that will help balance crop yields and farm development with intelligent technologies.
- The add-on will offer all elements from analogous extension for FS19 but will introduce many improvements. For example, we will have the option to purchase soil maps, which will save us time otherwise spent on sampling and analysis.
Let us remind that Farming Simulator 22 debuted in November last year, simultaneously on PC (both on Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
The game turned out to be a great success.. Over 1.5 million copies were sold within a week. On Steam, the title overtook games like Battlefield 2042 in terms of activity results.
