From The Witcher 3 to Valheim; Mod for Playable Geralt, Ciri, Triss and Yennefer

Do you like The Witcher 3 and would like to play with characters from this game in another game, for example in Valheim? It is a good thing, because a mod has been released that will enables you to do just that.

Mods for video games offer many different things - some introduce realistic grass to Minecraft, others enable us to start Skyrim with an experienced character. Now, Valheim, the survival game inspired by Norse mythology, has received an interesting mod. The Witcher Characters in Valheim is the work of a NexusMods user SiennaMisa. The user seems to have missed Slavic vibes in Iron Gate's indie game, because - as the name of the mod suggests - he decided to make it possible to play as Slavic characters from The Witcher 3 in Valheim, specifically Geralt, Ciri, Triss and Yennefer.

You can download the mod here. At the same website you will also find out how to install it. However, there is a catch - as Valheim can be played in four-player co-op, friends will see that we are Geralt or Ciri only after installing the mod themselves. However, it seems a small "price" for the possibility to play Valheim with characters known from the CD Projekt RED's game.

This mod seems to be a real treat for fans of the universe created by Andrzej Sapkowski. However, it is difficult to call it the most interesting fan's creation ever released for Valheim. In May we wrote about a mod that enables us to recreate and explore the world of World of Warcraft. Now nothing stands in the way of exploring Azeroth as Geralt.

For now, Valheim can be played only in early access on Steam (PC). However, the devs have a plan to port their hit - over 8 million copies sold - to consoles. Reportedly, there are extensive discussions on the subject. What will result from them? We'll find out for sure only after the actual release of the title on PC, which may take place in 2022.
