Frieza Revived in Sparking Zero, Unlocking the Alternate Path is Tricky
Frieza’s Saga is by far the most interesting one in Sparking Zero. In the Frieza Revived stage, you can unlock the Sparking Episode, but it won’t be easy. Here are some tips to help you out.
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero offers a challenging experience, and it's not just about the battles themselves. Each Sparking Episode or alternate ending requires completing tough objectives, and to make matters worse, the details are often unclear, with descriptions that provide little help in understanding what exactly needs to be done. While some objectives have a time limit, most involve other factors to be mindful of. Frieza’s Revived stage is certainly one of those.

Like with Ultimate Climactic Battle in Jiren’s Saga, or Into a Third Future in Goku’s Saga, time isn’t the only factor to worry about in the Frieza Revived stage. Its secondary objective for unlocking the Sparking Episode says:
- Defeat within a given time.
However, with a given time not being specified, you’ll need to pay attention to other cues. Players may be divided on the exact time limit, but one thing is certain: if Beerus speaks, you’ve missed it. If that happens, either you took too much damage, or the fight went on too long. Pay close attention to your health, you can’t lose more than two bars.
Don't worry, Goku can transform, but you need to finish him and Vegeta off within about 2 minutes. It will get easier when Frieza transforms into his Golden form.
Don’t forget that you can’t complete this at lower difficulty, but you can use Dragon Orb to make things easier. You can obtain these from Porunga, Shenron, or Super Shenron. Once you succeed, you will unlock Frieza’s Philosophy stage, which branches into three different paths.
