Free Update for Civilization 6 Will Add Anticipated Changes
We've learned the release date and details of December update for Sid Meier's Civilization 6, which will introduce some of the new features we've been looking forward to and improve game balance. Moreover, the developers revealed that they will soon reveal details of the new content they are working on.
- City-state related elements config menu;
- Option to mute requests and demands of a selected faction;
- Improved gameplay balance;
- Improved AI.
The content of the next update for Sid Meier's Civilization VI, the turn-based strategy game by Firaxis, was revealed. The patch will be released on December 17, this year.
Thanks to the patch, the game will be given the option to select city-states before the match starts. In advanced options we will be able to, among other things, decide whether we want them to be selected randomly or come from a list created by the player. We will also decide how many of them will appear during the game.
These changes will enable us to better adjust the game to our preferences. For example, by indicating only scientifically oriented city-states, we will facilitate our task in trying to achieve a scientific victory.
The December update will also bring improvements to the game balance. Some of them will cover the aforementioned content, while others will only concern the Gathering Storm expansion. The devs also promise to fundamentally improve the character balance, social doctrines and bonuses for ideas, the information age and technology.
The patch will also make improvements to artificial intelligence. AI-controlled leaders will be less likely to make demands in situations where they have weaker army or are doing badly during a war. In addition, there will be an option to disable request and demand notifications from a faction. This last feature in particular will make many players happy, as it was something that fans have been asking for for a long time.
Firaxis also confirmed that they are working on new content for Sid Meier's Civilization VI, but the details will only be revealed next month. We hope it's about another big expansion like Gathering Storm.
